Enable Ireland clients and staff gathered at the adult services centre in Little Island for an end of term summer BBQ. The event was attended by approximately 45 clients of the facility, which provides, training, job coaching and therapies daily. Cork’s new Lord Mayor Councillor Des Cahill received a warm welcome from all in attendance. The service users performed their own unique haka in their own unique style. Speaking at the BBQ, Director of Services for Cork and Kerry, Terry Datson said “We were all thrilled to meet Cork's new Lord Mayor. It was really smashing seeing Des in his new position as Lord Mayor of Cork . We wish him well for the duration of his office”.

A SUMMER TRADITION RETURNS BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER: Every summer for the
past 200 years the Munster Agricultural Society has put on a very special
show in Cork. Now a family tradition, the Cork Summer Show is back and it
promises to be the biggest and best show yet. With a family-friendly mix of
agriculture, food, music, home, garden from Ballyseedy Garden Centre among
others, crafts, equipment and entertainment for all ages the show will take
place from 9am to 6pm each day on 18 and 19 June 2016 at the Showgrounds in
Curraheen, Co. Cork. Pictured rolling about in the hay bales at the
Showgrounds and playing with Rumley’s Pet Farm and Leahy’s Open Farm in
advance of the Cork Summer Show are brothers Greg O’Toole and Marc O’Toole
with their sister Lia O’Toole.
